Opening of instructor training: MGY Region Chief Minister gave an opening speech

Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin together with the Region Ministers and officials attended the opening ceremony of District level instructor training for 2024 Population and Housing Census enumeration organized by Region Ministry of Immigration and Population held at Magway Township collective office in the morning on 3rd September.

In his opening speech, Region Chief Minister said that in the countries that are developed and have well-established registration systems, it is common practice to conduct a population census every ten years. The decision to carry out the census now is due to the need for accurate and reliable population data to manage and plan the current and future development of the country effectively.

Preparations for the census have been underway for the past three years. The census is a crucial project for obtaining population and socio-economic data needed for formulating national development plans and policies.

Therefore, it has been designated as a national responsibility and efforts must be made to ensure its successful implementation etc.Next, the instructors and trainees introduced themselves individually, took a documentary photo and began the lecture of training. The training will be conducted for 10 days by three instructors and attended by 48 trainees; it’s reported.
