Opening of E-Market Platform: MSME Products Sale Center on E-Market Platform

With the aims at expanding markets for MSME products for the development of MSMEs and the adaptation in the Digital System, the opening ceremony of MSME Products Sale Center on E-Market Platform was held at the MSME Development Center at the corner of Kyaikwaing Pagoda Road and Mindhamma Road in Mayangone Township of Yangon Region in the morning on January 6 with the presence of Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than and Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and officials.

First, the Director General of the Department Industrial Supervision and Inspection clarified the emergence of MSME Products Sale Center on E-Market Platform. Next, the Union Minister and Yangon Region Chief Minister opened the signboard of MSME Products Sale Center on E-Market Platform by cutting the ribbon and observed around the sale center.

The second part of opening ceremony was held at the ground floor of the MSME Center and the Union Minister gave a remark saying that the MSME Products Sale Center on E-Market Platform is a marketplace for the MSME products together produced based on the local raw materials from regions and states and a platform linked to the markets and it’s a place of full essence relating to the promotion of the country’s economy.

The major driving force for a country’s economic promotion and economic development is the MSMEs. The MSMEs include in the businesses of the developed and developing countries at over 90%, as the MSMEs can respond to the changing demands of the market more quickly than the large business, the development of the MSMEs are being supported.

In the implementation of the guidance of the Prime Minister to support and encourage the domestic products and giving linkage to the markets, with the aims at expanding markets for MSME products for the development of MSMEs and the adaptation in the Digital System, MSME Products Sale Center on E-Market Platform was opened and over 200 MSMEs are participating in the sale.

Afterward, the Union Minister visited Pharmaceutical Factory (Insein) and inspected production process of tablets and capsules at the tablets and capsules production workshop. Next, the Union Minister met with the officials at the factory meeting room and gave necessary instruction.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister together with Bago Region government ministers visited Agro Future Myanmar Co., Ltd. and oversaw the assemblies of rice seeders which have capacity of seeding one acre per hour, it’s reported.
