Opening Ceremony of Training: MoHT UM delivered the opening speech

The opening ceremony for the Leadership and Service Capacity Enhancement Training for manager/supervisor level staff from hotels in the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw was held at the Aureum Palace Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw on November 24. The Union Minister for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs and the Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, Jeng Phang Naw Taung, attended and delivered an address.

At the ceremony, the Union Minister, in his opening address, stated that the Ministry is organizing and conducting human resource development trainings nationwide to enable the provision of systematic, complete, and high-quality services to domestic and international tourist guests staying at the hotels. He mentioned that manager/supervisor level staff from hotels are not only responsible for implementing hotel policies and objectives but also act as leaders and connectors between staff and guests, making supervisory skills essential. Furthermore, they must strive to enhance the image of their respective hotels and travel destinations. It is for this purpose, he explained, that this Leadership and Service Capacity Enhancement Training is being conducted in the Union Territory Nay Pyi Taw etc.

Afterwards, the Union Minister presented commemorative honorary gifts to the course instructors and took a group photo with the trainees, it’s reported.
