Opening Ceremony: Regions and States Volleyball competition opened

The opening ceremony of 2023 Regions and States Volleyball competition was held at the Wunnatheiddhi gymnasium (c) in the morning on 24th October with the attendance of the members of State Administration Council DawDwe Bu, Dr. HmuHtan, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khin San Lwin, U ShweKyein, U Yan Kyaw, Union Ministers and officials.

First, the Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thein Zan gave an opening speech encouraging the athletes to endeavor for being the athletes who can bring the prestige of the country and opened the competition. Next, the athletes of the teams from the regions and State vowed the sports resolves and the SAC members cordially greeted the athletes from the contestant teams.

Then, the SAC members, Union ministers and spectators watched the competition of Team Ayeyawady and Team Taninthayi. The 2023 Regions and States Volleyball competition will take place from 25th October to 3rd November at Wunnatheiddhi gymnasium (c) and will be participated by a total of 418 athletes from 15 teams of men and 13 teams of women. The sports enthusiast can enjoy the competition with free of charge.
