Opening Ceremony: Region and State Billiards and Snooker Tournament

The 2023-2024 Region and State Billiards and Snooker Tournament commenced at WunnaTheikdhi Stadium in Nay Pyi Taw on Saturday.

The opening ceremony was graced by members of the State Administration Council, including DawDwe Bu, Porel Aung Thein, Dr. Hmu Thang, Dr. Ba Shwe, Khun San Lwin, U Shwe Kyein, and U Yang Kyaw, along with Union Ministers, Deputy Ministers, departmental personnel, officials from the Myanmar Billiards and Snooker Federation, and esteemed guests.

Chairman of the Myanmar Olympic Committee and Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs, U Min Thein Zan, delivered an opening speech, urging all participants to strive for excellence, embodying friendship and the spirit of sportsmanship.

The tournament, scheduled from February 24th to March 1st, aims to cultivate exceptional players to bolster the Myanmar Selection Team. Thirteen men's teams and ten women's teams are competing in the tournament, with matches open to enthusiasts free of charge.
