Opening ceremony of PMST (11): Shan State CM attended and provided cash of honour

The opening ceremony of the People’s Military Service Training Course No. (11/2025) was held at the parade ground of the Tatmadaw Computer and Technological Institute (MCTI) in Hopong Township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (South). The event was attended by Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Aung, the institute’s commandant Brigadier General Thant Htin Soe, the state minister for Security and Border Affairs, the Chairman and members of the Pa-O Self-Administered Zone Administrative Body, senior military and civil officials, departmental representatives, members of War Veteran Association, and other responsible personnel.

The ceremony began with the trainees saluting the national flag and the institute commandant, followed by an opening speech delivered by the commandant. In the second part of the event, held at the Bayint Naung Hall, Chief Minister U Aung Aung emphasized that every citizen has a responsibility to defend the nation, there are legal provisions to take action against those who evade military service, and that he takes pride in the trainees attending the 11/2025 course. He urged them to study and learn the knowledge imparted during the training.

Subsequently, the Chief Minister presented cash of honour for the People’s Military Service Training Course No. (11/2025), which were received by the institute commandant and warmly greeted the trainees. It is reported that 461 trainees from the Nay Pyi Taw Council Territory and Mandalay Region attended this training course.
