Opening ceremony: Mahapathana reciting launched at the Shwe Dagon pagoda

The opening ceremony of uninterrupted reciting Mahapathana Dhamma Discourses organized by the Yangon Region Government was held at the Chanthagyi Prayer Hall of the Shwedagon Pagoda flatform in the evening on 24th September.

After opening the occasion, the congregation led by the Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Commander of Yangon Command Ma-J Gen. Zaw Hein, Deputy Commander, region government ministers, members of pagoda board of trustee observed five precepts administered by the Chairman Sayadaw of Yangon Region Sangha Nayaka Committee and offered the offertories to the members of Sangha.

Next, the congregation took the sermon on the attitude on the reciting Mahapathana Dhamma Discourses and the members of Sangha in rotation began reciting Maha Pathana Dhamma discourses. The uninterrupted reciting Maha Pathana Dhamma discourses will be conducted from 24th to 29th of September, it’s learnt.
