Opening ceremony of China’s 15th National Games

China's 15th National Games, co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, officially opens on Sunday evening, when the main cauldron will be lit at the Guangdong Olympic Sports Center. Themed “Realizing Dreams for the Future,” the performance revolves around the idea of “concentric circles,” reflecting the joint hosting by Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao.

The event promises a vibrant cultural showcase where traditional Lingnan cultural elements meet cutting-edge technology. This year’s Games, scheduled from Nov 9 to 21, will feature 34 sports, 419 events, and 23 large-scale non-professional sports activities.
