OpenAI's Altman says 'no plans' to sue DeepSeek

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman stated that the U.S. company has "no plans" to pursue legal action against its Chinese competitor DeepSeek, despite previous concerns over Chinese firms replicating its advanced AI models. Speaking on the matter, Altman emphasized that OpenAI would focus on continuing to innovate and lead in AI development.

Sam Altman, OpenAI CEOsaid "We have no plans to sue DeepSeek right now. We are going to just continue to build great products and lead the world with model capability, and I think that will work out fine."

Sam acknowledged the strength of Chinese competitor DeepSeek’s AI model but reaffirmed OpenAI’s commitment to leading the AI industry. Altman expressed confidence that OpenAI would continue to push the boundaries of AI technology and deliver innovative products, despite the increasing competition.
