Online Scams: 55 suspects arrested in Tangyan Township

18 Chinese citizens have been arrested along with 27 Myanmar residents for committing online scams.

The arrest has been made on 2nd December, during a raid by the security forces at a house in Naung Hee Village of Tangyan Township in Shan State (North). They also seized 26 sets of computer and related accessories, a set of Star Link, 130 assorted mobile phones, various arms and ammunition, six walkie talkies, two motorcycles, one generator, three sets of Wifi and a 6-wheel vehicle. The case has been filed a law suit at Tangyan Myoma Police Station in line with the Section 33A of Electronic Transactions Law and Section 13(1) of the Immigration Act.
