Ongoing Situations: SAC Information Leader reports updates in Myanmar

On November 25th, Major General Zaw Min Tun, the leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, provided updates on the situation in Myanmar.

The Major General reported on the destruction of Myanmar-China Oil and Gas Pipeline Control System in Northern Shan State by MNDAA, TNLA and AA terrorists. He also explained the boom attacks to Myaingkalay-Thahton-Bilin and Myaingkalay-Yangon Natural Gas Pipeline acted by KNU and PDF insurgent groups with the intention to destroy the electricity access and its condition of renovation works.

He also gave insights on the recent regular military exercise of South Military Theatre Command of the People’s Republic of China, for ensuring peace and security of border areas of the two countries.

The Maj-Gen also gave updates on the repatriation of illegal residents in border areas to China and the cooperation works. Concerning the ongoing armed conflicts, the Maj-Gen said there are exchanges of fire in in Northeastern Shan State and Rakhine State.
