One-sided Statement: Office of UNSG Special Envoy on Myanmar

The information team of the State Administration Council released an information on the one-sided statement of the Office of Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General on Myanmar on Friday.

It said that Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General on Myanmar Ms. Noeleen Heyzer on 18th August.

Concerning the meetings, the Office of UNSG Special Envoy on Myanmar released one-sided statement on Myanmar.

The one-sided statements from the Office of Special Envoy caused misunderstandings to Myanmar by the international community and the people.

The UN officials need to describe fairly the government's responses in the their public statements according to the ethic but the statement of Office of UNSG Special Envoy on Myanmar on 17th August in 2022 did not comply with this.

This statement may mislead the international community and lead to misunderstandings by the people.

As the statement is the request based on disinformation sent by illegal and terrorist groups in local and abroad, it does not reflect the re-explanations of Myanmar with full evidences and the pragmatic condition of Myanmar and it is only their one-sided sayings. The statement may hamper the constructive meetings on both sides.
