One Map Myanmar Geo Database: 2-week Capacity Building Trainingin Nay Pyi Taw

Capacity Building Training on One Map Myanmar Geo Database was opened at the Survey Department of Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday.

Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi discussed that the implementation of One Map Myanmar Geoportal Platform is scheduled to complete within this fiscal year. He urged the trainees to study hard on theoretical and practical lectures for effective utilization of the knowledge gained.

The training aims to implement land utilization management and decision in a transparent manner through field survey, to make accurate and systematic data record and to develop mapping technologies.

It also aims to provide standard model in developing Geo Database by respective departments. 86 trainees from 51 departments are attending the 2-week training course which involves amendment and checking of data on GIS technologies, standard models, and developing Webpage, Dashboard and User Interface.
