One of the largest motor shows in Europe is underway in the German city of Munich. Automakers from around the world including a strong Chinese presence are showcasing their latest electric vehicles. The event takes place every two years. This year’s show, IAA Mobility 2025, is open to the public through Sunday.

Germany’s Volkswagen has unveiled four compact EVs targeting families. It aims to capture a 20-percent share in this segment of the market by offering lower priced vehicles compared to conventional models. Chinese manufacturers have also rolled out their new electric models with an emphasis on faster charging and lower prices.
