One dead, two missing in Ecuador bridge collapse

At least one person was killed, at least five people were injured and two others were missing after a busy 200-meter suspension bridge in Ecuador collapsed, tipping several vehicles into a river, local authorities said Thursday. 

The bridge connects the province of Guayas with other provinces in the north. Ecuadoran Secretary of Risk Management said rescue activities are being carried out, including air support by the Ecuadorian Air Force, which has also provided aerial assistance with a helicopter, to carry out the search and rescue.
