One dead, three injured as car mounts pavement in Hong Kong’s Jordan Road

A man died and two other pedestrians were injured after a car veered onto a pavement in Yau Ma Tei, Hong Kong on Monday.

The 42-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving causing death. 

The injured people sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Two of them, both aged 25, are from South Korea and the Philippines.

One elderly man was unconscious when sent to hospital and was later pronounced dead. The driver, who claimed he was unwell, was sent to Kwong Wah Hospital.
