One arrested in Central’s one billion yen robbery

A mainland man has been arrested on suspicion of being connected to the robbery of a currency exchange shop in Central involving some 1 billion yen, which is around 50 million Hong Kong dollars. Sources said some of the stolen cash has been recovered. 

The incident took place on Queen’s Road Central, Hong Kong at around 9 a.m local time. The case was reported by two staff members of the shop, who said three men armed with knives, robbed the establishment of 1 billion yen before fleeing towards Bonham Strand in a silver seven-seater vehicle.  Police officers found the suspected vehicle on Jervois Street, Hong Kong.
