Olympic flame for 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games arrives in Italy

The Olympic flame for the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Games has arrived in Italy. An airplane carrying the flame landed at an airport outside Rome on Thursday.

The flame was lit in Olympia, Greece, last month. Later, the flame was displayed in a ceremony attended by President Sergio Mattarella at the presidential palace. A torch relay would start in Rome on Saturday, and reach Milan for the opening ceremony of the Games on February 6.
