Officials: CSX freight train derailed south of Chicago

Officials say a CSX freight train derailed in the community of Blue Island, Illinois Wednesday night. The derailment occurred about 15 miles south of Chicago. Crew were working the scene Thursday morning.

Officials say more than a dozen cars derailed, including a tanker. According to authorities, no hazardous materials were spilled during the derailment. There are no reported injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation, and the NTSB is expected to handle the probe.
