Offering White Umbrellas: Preparations for Final Rites of Late Bhamo Sayadaw

A ceremony of offering white umbrellas to the remain of Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru, Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika, Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa was held on Thursday morning at Aye Kabar Beikkman Monastry in Mandalay.

The ceremony was graced by Secretary of State Sangha State Sangha Central Working Committee Presiding Sayadaw of MasoeYeinTaikThit Aggamahapandita Baddanta Vasetthabhivamsa and members of Sangha.

It was also attended by Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Mandalay Region Chief Minister U Myo Aung, Commander of Central Command Major Gernearl Ko Ko Oo and officials.

Then, the Union Minister, the Cheif Minister and party took five precepts from the MasoeYeinTaikThit Sayadaw and donated offertories to the members of sangha and shared merit gained.

Then, the offering of white umbrellas to the reaming of Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa was continued according to the religious rituals.

Then, the Chief Minister U Myo Aung and officials inspected the work implementations to hold the final rites of the Late Bhamo Sayadaw Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa and coordinated the requirements.
