Occupational Safety And Health: Training on Workshop Inspections concluded

Factories and General Labour Laws Inspection Department under the Ministry of Labour conducted ‌a closing of the refresher course on workshop inspections at the meeting hall of the Ministry on Wednesday with the attendance by Union Minister U Myint Naung.

In the opening speech, the Union Minister said that the trainees need to learn about implementation of occupational safety and health conditions by the related ministries. He emphasized the need to strive for continuous learning in addition to the knowledge gained from the training course.

He urged all to keep an eyes on potential workplace accidents caused by the developing technologies and prevention measures. He stressed the need to make concerted efforts in upgrading occupational safety and health system.

Then, the Union Minister, the Deputy Minister and Permanent Secretary presented the first, second and third prizes to the outstanding trainees and the certificates of completion respectively.

During the course, not only the topics including occupational safety and health through theoretical aspects, but also practical field inspections at the workplace and working environment measurement were conducted for the trainees.
