Observing MEVM Training: YGN CM observed MEVM trainings

Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and members of the Region Government visited Twantay and Dala Townships in Yangon Region to observe and encourage the ongoing training sessions on the use of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine (MEVM), on July 15.

First, the Chief Minister and officials observed the training session being held at the Pyinnya Yadana Hall of Basic Education High School No. (2) in Twantay Township, where 105 trainees were participating. They also visited the training being conducted at the Thiri Zeya Nawarat Hall of the General Administration Department in Dala Township, where 140 trainees were attending. During the visits, they warmly interacted and exchanged greetings with the trainees.

The training program is scheduled to run for two days, from July 14 to 15, and includes practical sessions on various topics such as the structure and setup of the Myanmar Electronic Voting Machine, inspection of the machines, preparation and testing of the voting machines at polling stations before election day, mock voting on election day, procedures for replacing backup machines, vote counting, handling of emergency situations, and explanation of necessary forms and documents. Trainees will receive hands-on practice in handling these procedures.
