Nutritional Week: Kachin State CM Encouraged Nutritional Cooking Competition

The cooking demonstration competition and educating talk on nutritional knowledge commemorating nutritional week for the children under 5, expectant mothers and breast feeding mothers was held at the SamaDowa Sinwa Naung Hall of Kachin State Government Office, Myitkyina with the presence of Chief Minister U Khet Htain Nan.

First, the wife of Chief Minister Daw Nan Sai explained such nutritional knowledge sharing and educating program will develop the habits of eating healthy diet and prayed for being the nutritious, healthy, strong and families with IQ standards.

Then, the deputy head of state public health department Dr. Hlaing Hlaing Htay clarified to have knowledge on cooking foods with high nutritious values for the expectant and breast milk feeding mothers and the benefits of them.

Afterward, the chief minister and wife, chief justice of state high court, state ministers, state advocate general, chairman of state supervisory committee and members viewed the preparations for the competition and the chief minister provided one million Kyats to the chairperson of the state Maternal and Child Welfare Association Daw Lwin Lwin Maw and assisted nutritious foods for the expectant and breast milk feeding mothers, toys for the children and the cash.

Later, cooking demonstration competition and educating talk on nutritional knowledge were held and the wife of chief minister and chairperson of maternal and child wellbeing and protection association awarded prizes to the first, second and third prizes winners and consolation prizes and winners of the competition of knowledge on the nutritious foods for the expectant and breast milk feeding mothers were given the cash of honor and sacks of Iodine salt, it’s reported.
