Notification 1/2024: Central Body to call for a draft formed

The Union Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar issued a Notification No (1/2024) formed the Central Body for Summoning persons who will serve military duty under the Public Military Service Law on 13th February, 2024.

As every citizen is responsible to protect Our Three Main National Causes: Non-disintegration of the Union, Non-disintegration of national solidarity and perpetuation of sovereignty, to receive military training in order to serve that duty, the Public Military Service Law has been enacted for the country’s Defense, to implement that law, the Central Body for Summoning persons who will serve military duty is formed with the leading of Deputy Prime minister Union Minister for Defense as Chairman, Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) as Vice Chairman, relevant Union ministers, Judge Advocate General, Military Training General, Director of Medical Services as members, Adjutant General as Secretary and  Director of People's Militia and Territorial Forces as Joint-Secretary. The notification is signed by Zaw Than Thin, Secretary of the Union Government.
