Northern Gaza Polio Vaccination

Despite the conclusion of the vaccination campaign in northern Gaza, field health teams continue to roam the streets of northern Gaza to encourage families to vaccinate their children.

Thursday was the last day of the polio vaccination campaign. The UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said that efforts are being made to provide vaccines at medical centers for children who were unable to receive them during the campaign.

UNICEF’s spokesperson for the Middle East and North Africa said that more than 100,000 children in northern Gaza were vaccinated on the third and final day of the campaign according to the planned schedule.
