Northern France holds world record for giant whale-shaped kites

Northern France has recently witnessed a remarkable display of kite artistry, setting a new record for the largest whale-shaped kite ever flown. A 100-meter-long whale-shaped kite soared above the French coastline, captivating over one million spectators. 

This event, renowned as France's premier kite festival, featured a diverse array of kites and cultural performances, with China honored as the guest country of the year. ​  The festival showcased not only the impressive whale kite but also a 100-meter-long "Chinese Loong" dragon kite brought by Weifang kite artists.
