North Korea's Kim addresses battalion commanders in Pyongyang

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has called on his army to prepare for war, state news agency KCNA reported on Monday. He made the call in a speech to a battalion of commanders and instructors in Pyongyang on Friday. Kim accused the US and South Korea of bringing tensions on the Korean peninsula “to the worst stage ever”, and the military must therefore improve its capacity to wage war.

Last week, Kim ordered the prioritization of mass production of kamikaze drones while attending a test of the devices at a factory, state media report.
