No.2 Steel Mill (Pin Pet) project: MoI Union Minister inspected facilities and workshops

The No.2 Steel Mill (Pin Pet) project is being implemented in PinPet region of Taunggyi Township, Shan State with the aims of domestically manufacturing steel which is a major requirement for the industries and construction works, reducing import and saving expense of foreign currency.

For the completion of project works as quickly as possible and meeting the specified quality and standard in the inspection and repairing of machine parts and resuming operation of stell mill, the committee chairman Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than accompanied by the deputy minister U Yin Maung Nyunt and committee members arrived at No.2 Steel Mill (PinPet) project and heard the clarifications of the factory in-charge and responsible officials regarding with the inspection and repairing of machineries since the resuming of project and work processes to be done.

In responding to the clarifications, the Union Minister gave necessary instructions in detail. Next, the Union Minister inspected the facilities and workshops operated in the process of manufacturing steel and the logistic processes and gave necessary instructions.
