No.1 Steel Mill (Myin Gyan): MoI Union Minister inspected No.1 Steel Mill (Myin Gyan)

Chairman of No.1 Steel Mill (Myin Gyan) Project Re-operation Supervisory Committee Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than together with the committee members held meeting with the responsible officials of the Steel Mill at the meeting hall of the mill in the morning on June 18.

At the meeting, the Union Minister said that as the Chairman of State Administration Council Prime Minister gave the guidance to re-launch the Melt Shop-2, Phase-2 to manufacture multi size steel plates and Phase-2A which will manufacture colorful corrugated sheet and galvanized iron sheets, it’s needed to carry out to be successful of the project works. In the implementation of project works, the Work Scope, Cost, Time, Quality should be drawn in line with the project management work procedures and collected required raw materials in advance for the continuous production process.

The experience, disadvantages and advantages from the re-launching the implementation of Melt Shop-1 etc. Then, the committee members discussed the status of work implementation in No.1 Steel Mill (Myin Gyan) according to the budget allocation for 2022-2023 fiscal year, the contents of the contract, financial and administrative matters and the responsible officials of the mill clarified the challenges that can be faced in the implementation of the project, plans to be carried out and the Union Minister coordinated necessary matters.

In the afternoon, the Union Minister inspected the machinery installation at Phase-2 and Phase-2A and the remaining parts to be installed, shifting the machine parts outside the roof into the cover and the staff housing and cordially greeted the staff families.
