Aiming for the enhancement of the agricultural sector in Myanmar, No. 3 Fertilizer Plant (Kyawzwa) under Myanma Petrochemical Enterprise (MPE) is actively working for the reoperation to domestically produce urea fertilizers for farmers.
The No. 3 Fertilizer Plant (Kyawzwa) is located on the east bank of the Ayeyarwaddy River near Kyawzwa Village at Aung Lan Township of Magway Region. Although fertilizers were produced in the past, the factory operation was suspended in 2010.
About 600 metric tons of urea fertilizer were able to produce on a daily basis before 2010 and 450 metric tons of fertilizers per day in 2010.As No. 3 Fertilizer Plant (Kyawzwa) is a factory which makes urea fertilizer production by chemical reaction stages, it’s necessary to monitor the pressure, temperature and meter at every production stage.
Additionally, preparations have to be made for the systematic fertilizer production with the specified proper proportions for the regular operations of machines and continuous production of the high-quality fertilizer. Research on the use of other resources in the urea fertilizer production will be conducted in addition to the consumption of natural gas.
