Nigerian households take to biofuel cooking amid a hike in cooking gas prices

As the cost-of-living soars in Nigeria, cooking gas has become unaffordable to a growing number of households.

Many are turning to green biofuels such as environment friendly ethanol gels as a cheap and clean alternative to wood or coal burning.

“In Africa, you notice that people actually cook with firewood from the beginning, so from that, there are sicknesses and diseases that actually kill women,” says Lilian Aremu, co-founder of Kike Technologies.
