New Year gathering lunch: MoI Union Minister attended the gathering lunch

The occasion of taking the Paritta Suttas in hailing the 2024 New Year was held at the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 1st of January, 2024 with the presence of Union Minister Dr. Charlie Than, directors General, managing directors and departmental heads.

First, the congregation led by the Union Minister observed five precepts administered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Thirigandhama ThaPyayAye Moegoke Vipassana Dhamma Yeiktha) monastery Baddanta Ghandamala and took the Paritta Suttas recited by the members of Sangha.

Next, the Union Minister and officials offered cash donation and offertories to the members of Sangha, took the sermon delivered by the Presiding Sayadaw of Thirigantama ThaPyayAye Moegoke Vipassana Dhamma Yeiktha Baddanta Ghandamala, shared the merits gained and the personnel and family members offered the ‘Soon’ (Day meal) to the members of Sangha.

Afterward, the Union Minister attended the New Year gathering luncheon of the Depart of Industrial Supervision and Inspection and presenting gifts by drawing ballots and delivered a remark. Then, the Union Minister enjoyed the lunch together with the personnel, viewed the presenting gifts by drawing ballots to the personnel of the Department of Industrial Supervision and Inspection and presented gifts.
