New US ambassador to Ukraine sworn in

US Vice President Kamala Harris administered the ceremonial oath of office to the new United States Ambassador to Ukraine, Bridget Brink.Ambassador Brink was confirmed unanimously by the U.S. Senate last month and met with Ukrainian President VolodomyrZelenskyy in Kyiv days later.Brink is Washington's first ambassador in Kyiv since former US President Donald Trump abruptly forced out Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch in 2019.Brink has spent most of her career at the State Department advancing U.S. policy in Europe and Eurasia.
