NEW POSTAGE STAMP: STAMP FEATURING THE ART OF SCULPTURE ISSUED

Myanmar Posts of the Ministry of Transport and Communications issued a special commemorative stamp for the art of sculpture, PanPu (ပန်းပု) which is included in 10 Myanmar traditional arts and crafts on 9th October.

It aims to disseminate knowledge on Myanmar cultural artistic works among the new generation.

Manager, Mandalay Post Office, Nwe Ni Aung said "Today marks the World Post Day, we issued a new stamp featuring the art of sculpture. The aim is to raise awareness among young people on the Myanmar cultural art and crafts and to preserve these arts and crafts."
The newly issued stamp was sold at a price of 200 kyats at the Post Offices across the country.

At Mandalay Post Office, the enthusiasts came to buy the newly issued stamp and first day cover amid COVID-19 outbreak.
Stamp Collector, Soe Myint Thein said "Since I am very eager in collecting stamps, I came here to buy the newly issued stamp amid COVID-19 pandemic.
We can get the first day cover only this day. But now, they make arrangements to get first day cover seal later for the convenience of the stamp collectors."

Myanmar Posts under the Ministry of Transport and Communications issued special commemorative stamps on Ten Myanmar traditional arts and crafts starting July 24th.

Six features of Panbe, Patain, Pante, Pantaut, PanYan and Panpu have already been issued as of October 9th, and four more features have to be issued.
