New King Charles III coins revealed in the UK, with fauna and flora designs

A new collection of coins, from one penny to two pounds was unveiled by the Royal Mint following the coronation of King Charles III. The eight new coins all feature designs inspired by plants and animals, as a reference to the king's interest for nature and conservation.
The new coins will keep the size and shape of previous designs and are expected to enter circulation at the end of the year. Old coins, featuring Queen Elizabeth II will still be accepted, while banknotes featuring the King's face will go into use in the middle of 2024.
