New Facility : YCDC to build an Underpass on U Wizara Road

With the guidance of Yangon Region Government, Yangon City Development Committee is going to construct the Underpass on U Wizara Road, connecting Shwedagon Pagoda Western Stairway and People’s Square in Dagon Township.

A ceremony for land clearing of the construction project took place on Thursday morning, with the attendance of Chief Minister U Soe Thein. The new Underpass will be a 23 ft wide, and 461 ft and 9 inches long facility with 4 exits, 4 escalators and 2 elevators. The project period is expected to last 14 months.
