New Facility: 75% Of Library Building Completed

Construction of a library building in Sagaing Education College has completed 75% so far.

It is one of five construction projects to be implemented by the Education College during 2019-2020 fiscal year.

The new facility was constructed by a tender winning company with the cost of over 143 million kyats.

Principal, Sagaing Education College, May Myat Khine said “The building is 90 x 30 ft wide two-storey building and it was constructed by the tender winning company with the cost of 143.6 million kyats. We stared construction on 17th February, and 75% of the works have completed so far.”

The library can be accessed 50 people in each storey and it will be  comprised with four room.

After complete of the library, the teacher trainees could acquire knowledge to equip themselves with essential skills throughout their career.

Principal, Sagaing Education College, May Myat Khine said “About 50 people can be accessed in a storey. Upon completion, it will help develop the skills of students. The students can spend their free time beneficially.”

Sagaing Education College was first established as the Teacher Training School in 1968, and transformed as the Education College in 1998.

A total of five training courses are being conducted at Sagaing Education College, and over 23,000 teacher trainees have completed the courses so far.

In 2018-2019 academic year, 160 teacher trainees of attended to old curriculum course for Pre-service Teacher Training and 92 to the first year studies, totally 252 teacher trainees.
