New Embossed Number Plates: All vehicles need to be installed before 31stMarch

The Road Transport Administration Department (RTAD) has been carrying out to install the new embossed number plates on all kinds of vehicles such as State-owned departmental vehicles, highway vehicles, city buses, taxis and trucks starting from 1stJuly 2021. At present, the installation process has almost completed and has been install the embossed number plates on private own vehicles.

Kyaw San Lwin, Deputy Division Head, Road Transport Administration Department (RTAD), said " We urged to install the embossed number plates on all kinds of vehicles, and the process will continue until 31stMarch this year. The process has almost completed. We are currently carrying out the process for private own vehicles as a first priority and have not set the deadline. We would like tourge the private vehicle owners to contact the relevant RTAD offices and have new number plates at the time of the vehicle license renewal or before."

The new embossed license plates are being conducted at five offices of Road Transport Administration Department in Yangon Region and the plates will be issued after returning the old ones.
