New Embossed License Plates: New license plates installation to all vehicles undertaken

Road Transport Administration Department is implementing to install new embossed license plates to all vehicles such as governmental vehicles, high way expresses, YBS buses, taxies and trucks as of 31st March. Installation of the new embossed number plats has been started from 1st July 2021 and now, installations such as regional codes and vehicle types are added.

Lyan Cin Mang,,Joint Secretary,,YRTC, said " The new embossed number plates are contained security system such as township symbols, name of the type of vehicles and model numbers of vehicles. Vehicle registration certificate and signature copy are needed to swift the new embossed license plates."

The new embossed license plates can be applied at the related offices and it cost 9,000 kyats and for YBS buses, YRTC approval is needed. The new embossed license plates will be issued after repaying the old one.
