New electrified Corvette is the quickest one yet

Chevrolet is celebrating Corvette's 70th birthday with an electrified version of the storied sports car.

And it is the fastest production model yet.The E-Ray is a gas-electric hybrid, the first all-wheel-drive version of the Corvette. It goes from zero to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and can cover a quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds.

The front wheels run on a battery.It is aimed at affluent buyers who want new technology in the top-line Chevy sports car.The 2024 Corvette E-Ray goes on sale this year, with an MSRP of $104,295 for the 1LZ coupe.
