New Electricity Meters: Online service to start from August 15

The Ministry of Electricity and Energy announced that from August 15, 2026, people can apply online for new electricity meters through the official website www.moee.gov.mm.

The move aims to make the process faster, reduce costs, and avoid middlemen. Applications can be submitted for household, business, and industrial use. Payments will be accepted only through the official online account, with no extra charges beyond the set fees. Approved requests will be installed quickly according to ministry regulations.
