Netanyahu departs White House after meeting with Trump

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu concluded his meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House on April 7, 2025. The leaders discussed several critical issues, including Iran's nuclear program, the situation in Gaza, and bilateral trade relations. 

Notably, President Trump proposed relocating Gaza's Palestinian population to establish a "freedom zone," a plan that received Netanyahu's cautious support but has faced opposition from Arab nations expected to accommodate displaced Palestinians. 

Netanyahu's visit marked the first by a foreign leader since Trump's inauguration, underscoring the importance of the U.S.-Israel relationship. The leaders expressed optimism about furthering peace efforts and addressing regional challenges collaboratively.
