NES PPEPC Meeting: Committee Chairman addressed the meeting

The National Export Strategy (NES) Public-Private Export Promotion Committee held its (2/2025) meeting on July 14, at Office No. 3 of the Ministry of Commerce in Nay Pyi Taw.

The meeting was attended by Union Minister for the Ministry (3) at the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office U Maung Maung Tint, who serves as the Chairman of the NES Public-Private Export Promotion Committee, Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn, who serves as Vice Chairman of the Committee, committee members, chairs of the NES sector-specific export development committees and 60 officials from relevant government departments and private organizations.

At the meeting, the Committee Chairman delivered the opening remarks, stating that efforts would focus on implementing the work programs for the selected sectors within the National Export Strategy, along with providing support for the recovery of MSME businesses in these sectors.

He emphasized the need for preparations to continue implementing the National Export Strategy (2026-2030) as the current NES (2020-2025) implementation period is nearing its end. He also stressed the importance of continuing to promote export growth despite challenges posed by natural disasters, and assured that difficulties encountered would be addressed and resolved through necessary coordination.

Following this, Deputy Minister for Commerce and Secretary of the NES Public-Private Export Promotion Committee, U Min Min, provided a concise briefing on the status of implementation of the decisions made during the (1/2025) meeting of the committee.

Subsequently, committee members and chairs of the sector-specific committees presented and discussed their completed activities and future work plans within their respective sectors. The Union Minister for the Ministry (3) at the State Administration Council Chairman’s Office also contributed to the discussions.
