Nepal resumes Jomsom-Pokhara flights

In Nepal, the Jomsom-Pokhara flight service has resumed after around three months, as operations were halted due to unfavorable weather. Time of travel is reduced for Pilgrims to Muktinath Temple who land in Jomsom airport as well as for trekkers who hike in the Greater Himalayas.

The resumption of flight service has eased Mustang locals, pilgrims and tourists when the up-gradation was taking place in Myagdi section of the Beni-Jomsom road stretch. Inflow of tourists is expected to increase in Mustang with the resumption of flight services.According to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, Jomsom, as many as 91,000 foreign tourists had visited Mustang in 2023.
