Nepal Prime Minister meets Spanish Counterpart Sánchez

Nepal Prime Minister Oli held a bilateral meeting with Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez in Seville of Spain. The talks focused on strengthening ties in several areas including tourism, climate change, investment, and people-to-people relations. During the meeting, Prime Minister Oli invited his Spanish counterpart for an official visit to Nepal, and urged the Spanish government to establish an embassy in Nepal. 

In response, Prime Minister Sánchez praised Nepal’s longstanding contributions to the UN peacekeeping missions and expressed Spain’s interest in expanding diplomatic and developmental cooperation with Nepal.  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is in Spain on an official visit to participate in the UN’s Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development.
