Nepal President Paudel departs for Baku to COP29

President Ramchandra Paudel, leading a high-level Nepali delegation, on Sunday departed for Baku, Azerbaijan, to attend the 29th Conference of the Parties COP-29 to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change UNFCCC, which will take place in the city.

President Paudel is visiting Baku at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to participate in the conference. The President is scheduled to address the high-level session of the “World Leaders’ Climate Action Summit” on November 13 and will lead Nepal’s own high-level session on November 14, focused on “Addressing Climate-Induced Damage and Loss in Mountain Regions.”
