Nepal makes damage survey after recent disasters

Nepal's Ministry of Physical Infrastructures and Transport inspected the damages made by recent floods and landslides to the roads and bridges. An estimated amount of 20 to 25 billion rupee is needed for repairing, restoring and reconstruction of the roads and bridges damaged in the recent disasters.

Over 800 spots of 34 highways faced damage due to landslides. Efforts are being made to clear obstructions at 31 places on five major highways. Heavy equipment and human workforce were mobilized in 29 highways to remove the obstructions.
