Nepal hosts first International Pashmina Festival

The first-ever three-day International Pashmina Festival and Exhibition, organized by the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association and the Confederation of Nepalese Industries, has captured the attention of consumers with its delicate, lightweight, and warm natural fiber sourced from the Chyangra or Pashmina goat.

The exhibition, running until January 25, features over 150 domestic stalls, including more than 40 dedicated to showcasing pure Nepali Pashmina. Nepal is a leading producer of authentic Pashmina, often marketed as ‘Chyangra Pashmina’ to highlight its superior quality and authenticity. The production process includes traditional weaving techniques that have been passed down through generations.
