Nepal to host Sagarmatha Sambaad

Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli announced that Nepal is set to host the Sagarmatha Sambaad (Dialogue) in May, focusing on global and regional issues, particularly climate change, mountain preservation, and the future of humankind.

The prime minister highlighted Nepal’s efforts to achieve net-zero emissions by 2045, expand forests, promote clean energy, and preserve biodiversity.

The Sagarmatha dialogue will provide a platform for Nepal to share its success stories and advocate for multilateralism and sustainable development.  The dialogue is also aimed at positioning Nepal as a leading voice on climate issues and helping to forge a sustainable, equitable future through collective global action.
