NDSC Meeting: State of Emergency period to extend further 6 months

The National Defence and Security Council of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar held its meeting 2/2023 at the meeting hall of the State Administration Council Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw on 31st July.

Pro Tem President U Myint Swe, Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw U T Khun Myat, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and the Union Ministers attended the meeting, According to the meeting, it is learnt to extend further six months of the declared period of the State of Emergency across the nation starting from 1st August 2023.
